The Chelsea Supporters’ Club condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the Premier League’s decision to reschedule the league fixture of Arsenal vs Chelsea at less than three weeks’ notice. The original date had been approved by the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) in February and, without appropriate consultation with representative groups, has changed and will undoubtedly have a dramatic impact on those planning to attend. Full reasoning has not been offered by way of explanation.
Once again, the concerns of the match-going supporter have been demonstrably ignored in the face of other interests and this cannot be allowed to happen. We will be making our position known to Chelsea and to all other stakeholders in due course.
